21 December 2016, By Dr Volker Steigerwald
In a simple ceremony, the GIZ partners of the ProGED project turned over all equipment, documents and files to the DTI ROG National Office on Monday, 19 December 2016. With this, the Inphasing of DTI with regard to the continuation of promoting Green Economic Development (GED) had been completed, and the GIZ team of ProGED said goodbye. Still, two of the GIZ ProGED colleagues will continue to work with DTI for another two years. They are Mr Klaus Peter “Pitt” Berkemeyer, based in DTI ROG who will be responsible for supporting DTI operations in Luzon and Palawan and Ms Anita Benassi, based in DTI Cebu who will be responsible for supporting DTI operations in the Visayas and Mindanao. Both will support the DTI in its effort to continue replicating the ProGED approach in the other 50 provinces which have not yet been covered by the project up to 31 December 2016. In the photos are the GIZ ProGED Project Manager, Dr Volker Steigerwald, turning over the assets of GIZ ProGED to DTI ROG Assistant Secretary, Ms Blesila Lantayona, with DTI BSMED Director, Mr Jerry Clavesillas and GIZ’s Mr Pitt Berkemeyer as witnesses.
